My New Favorite Breakfast

I was lying on my living room couch last night. The TV was on, but instead of watching, I was reading a magazine. All of a sudden I heard a voice say something, something, something…..roller derby. I looked over to see a derby girl speaking in a Cheerios commercial. As I continued to watch I realized it was New York’s very own Gotham Girls being featured.

I screamed in excitement to see this! A major company featuring derby girls to promote their product is just so very inspiring.

Perhaps is was the release of Whip It that has increased the popularity of the sport or maybe it's becoming more well known through word of mouth. Whatever the case, the positive promotion is just what we want. Who knows, roller derby just might be a part of future Olympic games.
