Easing On In

I'm happy to say that I and all of the others who were there, survived the first night back at practice. Thankfully, Jefferee and Captain Morgan eased us in. Still, practice was pretty rough for me. I definitely wasn't at my fastest and I could not squat nearly as long as I normally can, but I made it through. I am anticipating the soreness that my arms will be experiencing by tomorrow or the next day (sometimes it takes a couple of days for the pain to kick in). The push ups we did were killer! Start with arms fully extended and lower yourself on the count of 10. Do this without letting yourself touch the ground until you reach number 10 and do 10 repetitions. Have I said 10 yet? Another drill we did was alternating between sprinting and squatting for 15 seconds each. I'm not sure how long that drill was, but it seemed like forever at the time.

Other interesting highlights included:
-lots of new girls
-the return of some first season veterans
-the return of an injured skater (go Beth!)
-Heidi Hoe Bag's surprising new haircut (love it!)
-Josh our photographer there snapping shots

Hey Roller Rebels, have I left anything out? It was so great to see all of you!

Ok, I'm going to try and sleep now, but I'm not sure if that's going to happen with all of this energy I've got. Wish me luck!

Sweet dreams.....
EJ
